Our Mission
To provide
a secure and asynchronous online mediation process for the efficient
and effective resolution of complex multi-party claims and mass
litigation. |
About Us
Butler Online Mediation, L.P. (a
strategic affiliate of Butler Mediation Services) is a secure,
asynchronous mediation process created by Randall E. Butler based on
his extensive experience in mediating complex multi-party claims,
including silicosis and asbestos cases. For more information about

Why Butler Online
Mediation?
Butler Online
Mediation is distinctive in that our intent is not a
"shotgun" approach to providing mediation on the Internet for any
and all forms of dispute. Rather, ours is a laser focus on the kind
of case that cannot be effectively settled in a normal mediation
process - complex multi-party cases and mass litigation. These cases
demand a resolution process that provides a more efficient and
effective exchange of evaluative information and secure,
confidential negotiation to resolution. For more information about
the distinctive nature of our online process click

What Do I Need To Do To Mediate A
Case Through Butler Online Mediation?
If you are not
already a registered user, you must register as a Claimant's
Attorney or Defendant's Attorney and receive your user ID and
Password. To mediate a case, you must register the case, including
all claimants and defendants. Once you have registered and paid the
mediation fee for your client, your case will be activated for
mediation online. When a case is first registered, counsel for all
other parties to the case will receive an email advising that the
case has been registered -- and advising them of the mediation start
date. All parties will be given an opportunity to register to
participate in the mediation prior to the start of the mediation.
Cases are mediated on a per claimant basis. This means that if a
lawsuit has multiple plaintiffs or claimants, the lawsuit is
registered for mediation but the mediation and all negotiations are
conducted between each individual claimant and each individual
defendant. |
